Designer Performer Storyteller
About Me
Playful yet precise.
Intricate and honest.
Beautiful Theatrical Craft created in a passionate and realistic brain.
Theatre has been a part of my life since I was 9 years old, when I first stepped on the stage as a pirate in a show at Columbia Children’s Theatre (CCT). I spent my young life learning and growing under the wise leadership of the staff at CCT. Mr. Jim and Jerry constantly supplied me with new ways to harness my creativity, coaching me in performance and tech alike.
When I turned 18 it was time to say goodbye to my beloved theatre home and head out on a new adventure - college. I found myself called to enroll at Anderson University in the Musical Theatre program at the South Carolina School of the Arts. By the end of my freshman year, I was spending most of my time in the costume shop and became an official double major at the end of my sophomore year, pursuing not only a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, but also a B.A. in Theatrical Design with a concentration in Costume Design.
After Graduating with both bachelor's degrees, I accepted a position at The Ohio State University as a Costume Design Graduate Teaching Associate. Every day was filled with laughter and learning alongside talented professionals in the craft and a wide variety of visiting artists. Three years of devoted studying later, I earned my Master's of Fine Arts in 2024.
My journey through theatre has been intertwined with highs and lows, yet I would not change anything that has happened in my career thus far. I have an incredible support system behind me; professors, theatres, and most importantly, my parents. Candy and Dan always support their little creator, even when she is in those “artistic mess” episodes, a familiar state for many, and encourage me without fail.
Through research, raw inspiration, and pure support, I create intricate work I am proud to put my name on. Now graduated and out of school for the first time, I will be devoted to redefining my professional goals, refreshing my performance chops, and finding the balance between the interests and passions collected over my years in education.
